My "job"

I've had moms ask me how I can stand to stay at home-they're just not cut out to stay home-they've stayed home for x amount of time because of whatever, and they couldn't wait to get back to work-how can I do it?! All I have to say is, I'd take hanging out with these three any day over catty office women!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohio State Fair Horse Show

We headed to The Ohio State Fair for a couple of days to watch Papa and Nana show their Percheron horses. This is their second year showing them, and they did great! Here are some of the kids watching the show in their Legacy Farm Shirts. Even Camdyn had one on~ It was HARD to take pictures in the arena. It was so dark, so if I slowed the shutter speed down, my pictures were blurry since there was so much movement. Obviously, I'm an amateur!!
Here is Elizabeth (2nd from left) -it's dark, I knowElizabeth placed 3rd in her class.Sarah is their yearling. She placed 10th (i think) in hers. They also sold her at this fair. Mom, especially has mixed emotions, since she is her "baby". Mom actually delivered her by herself, and loves to kiss her nose (: Here's Gracie, their colt this year. She placed 2nd in her class. She is so cute-she whinnies all of the time!
I don't have a good picture of it, but Elizabeth and Gracie placed 1st place in the mare/colt class. Way to Go, Legacy Farm!
This is their entry in the 3 mare class. Sorry, Dad, I can't remember what you placed. Fifth?!We also took some non-horse related sights in as well. Mom and John and Tiff took the kids on the shuttle things. It was awful because they thought they had plenty of time to do a round trip before the next show. Yeah right. They got on, and dad called my cell phone telling us to come to the arena because they were getting ready to show. Whoops! They all ended up hopping off halfway and running to the arena-just in time!!
We adorned mom's glasses with this stray flower from the gorgeous hanging baskets.
The Butter Cow. I just don't get it.
Elliott just got his cast off (his growth plate wasn't broken-thank God!!) and his leg was pretty stiff. Camdyn shared his stroller.
Gwyneth was a doll the whole time.
The shows didn't excite her too much, though~
We're off to Indy next week for the National Show!

It's a nice day for- Whit's Wedding

John and Haydn's day started off bright and early at 9 a.m. Haydn thought it was so neat that they sent an RV to pick them up! note- John did too. He just did a better job containing his excitement (:One of my handsome boys!Another one of my handsome boys!My third handsome boy!!I took Andrea and Haydn's picture-here's the pose they came up with! The wedding was in a beautiful church in Sidney. Wow.
John was an impromptu usher-go John!Haydn-great job!! He did wonderful, and I was so proud of him!The bride, CarolynWaiting outside for the newlyweds. It was a gorgeous day, and it was just beautiful under the mature trees around the church. I love this picture, especially the background! They had bubbles. I couldn't resist snapping this one of John-in la la land!!Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Whitaker!Waiting for thier big debut!Haydn was dancing like it was nobody's business. Andrea and Haydn made quite the cute little dancing partners!John's mom and sis- It's Electric (boogie woogie)Everyone was dancing! Here is John a.k.a. Vanilla Ice!! hahaha
Okay-I may or may have not been cutting a rug as well. That, however, is the beauty of being the one with the camera. You can accidentally forget to take a picture of yourself! (;
You've lost that lovin' feeling! A whole bunch of guys sang the whole song. How cute! (you can only see John's arm though)The best part of every kids day (oh, and Bryon's!) was that there was a huge chocolate fountain. They were going crazy, since parents were preoccupied! At the very end of the night, Alyssa comes walking up with 3 chocolate covered marshmallows. Hmm... it looks like she may have started out with 4?!!!
I'm almost positive this is one of Brent's favorite moments! His 2 boys.
We had a fun time! It was nice to visit with friends and family we haven't seen in awhile. Hope you're enjoying Florida, Bryon and Carolyn!!

Rehearsaling the Dress

John and Haydn had the Dress Rehearsal for Whit and Carolyn's wedding last Friday night. Hutch, Gwyneth and I went along for the ride!
Haydn, practicing 1. pillow holding 2. smile (Granny Sharon coached him on the smile for months!!)

The Dinner was at Bella's in Celina. YUMMY. This is Whit and Carolyn's "place", so they thought it would be perfect for this dinner. It was, let me tell you! Haydn, hamming it up
John-always the prankster. (here, I thought he broke his tooth out-it was just chocolate sauce all along!)

I'll spare you the picture of the DELICIOUS tiramisu that John and I shared. Yes, I actually took a picture of it. But I told you I'd spare you!

We left the night in great expectation for tomorrow!

Playing Catch Up

Here are some pictures of what's been going on the last few weeks!

Haydn possibly had a broken nose (which eventually turned into a really nasty swollen couple of black eyes!)
**He was trying to run across the room to do a headstand on the couch. Enough said.**

John wrapped up another season of Church Softball! This year he transitioned into a shortstop~ He loves to play, and we love to watch him. Here he is getting "walked"
Waiting on first to run

Gwyneth went swimming for the first time at Butch and Bobbie's pool. She was a crazy woman in the water. She kicked and acted like a natural. She kept trying to put her face into the water!

Their dog, Ziley, got hit by a car and had a splint on her leg. It was so sad!

Gwyneth hanging out in the lawn chair (with mommy close by-of course!)

Playing with Babe in the backyard. Haydn's getting her ready to take to the fair!

I was so proud of John-he trimmed her hooves himself.

Gwyneth and Camdyn napping together at "The New McDonalds" while all of the other Yayhoos went to check out the gigantic playland

(It's the talk of the town! ha)

We were so excited that Hutch got to attend VBS this year! Here the boys are during the closing program.

Camdyn checking out everything while we were tearing down!

Mounting Tires-Hillbilly Style

Jim and John decided to mount John's tires after church today. They forgot junky clothes and didn't want to ruin their church clothes-hence the killer outfits! (make a special note of John's shoe/sock/short combination!!)

Another one of Jim's hidden talents! Hey-it worked!
