Mother's Day in The Woods

My family traditionally goes to a nearby woods for Mother's Day. We bring a picnic lunch and then play all day! Everyone made fun of me, because I brought PB&J sandwiches (put back in the bread bag) and a gallon of water for our family-- sooooo Shirley!

We took pictures at the entrance of the trails

Haydn caught a toad!

The kids (Elliott, Lainey, Haydn and Dad) all drank from a sulfur spring

Disgusting if you ask me, but, hey, whatever!

I love this picture of Caleb

Happy Mother's Day!

My mom is The Best! Hands down. Seriously.
Love you, Mom. Thanks for being so YOU! I wouldn't want you any other way.

More Program Pictures

One of Haydn's friends' mom emailed me these pictures of the kids last night. They were taken by a professional photographer, so I was excited to get them!
Look at Liam and Haydn in this picture! They were both leaning on each other the whole time, because they were so nervous. This will be cute to pull out when they are in high school! (:

Spring Concert

Haydn had his Spring Concert and Art Show last night at school. He insisted that he wore a suit (: and I think that he was the absolute most handsome little guy up there! The kids were all adorable, and their music teacher did a great job choosing songs that they loved. It was quite entertaining. Haydn loves to sing, and I think you can tell it here in this picture.

Showing off some of his artwork in his roomHaydn, Hutch, Gwyneth, Lainey, and Andrea (who was in the first grade part of the program)

Afterwards, my mom and dad and Lainey stopped in for a little while. Of course, Haydn had to change his shoes and the kids were off playing!

Gwyneth: future track star!

Gwyneth trains herself to run. It's true! She is doing it behind the boys' backs, so that she can just wow them with her skills someday by keeping up with them. I'm sure of it! At night, after the boys are in bed, she walks as fast as she can, and sometimes runs, back and forth in the living room-giggling the whole time!
She is persistent, too! She will run back and forth over and over until she is pooped! I think we have the makings of a track star!

In other Gwyneth news, she went to the doctor's office and got her shots. She took them like a champ! She didn't even cry until after the second, and then just a little bit. She weighed 20 pounds 2 ounces, which is the 10th percentile, and was 29.5 inches long, which is the 25th percentile. She is just a little peanut. Who knew when she was about 6 months old?!!!
