Happy Birthday, Haydn!

Seven years ago today, I fell in love with a little red-head! It has been such an exciting adventure being Haydn's mommy, and I've loved every minute of it! Last night when he was getting into bed he said, "Tomorrow's my birthday, and I want two things on my birthday. Nubmer one: Breakfast in Bed!! Number two: go watch Up with grandma Shirley and Grandpa Larry" yes-that is a direct quote!
Love ya' Haydo Potato!!!!

Hutch's First Sport!

It's hard to imagine that Hutch is playing tball this spring! When we signed him up, he said, "I can't play, I'm too little!" He's so used to watching Haydn play everything, that he didn't realize that he can do it, too! John took him to practice last night, and I sent the camera with him.

He has such nice coaches!

We're looking forward to watching him play!

Ornery Girl

Gwyneth has become quite the little maniac around here! She was sitting at the big dining room table, acting like a hot shot- I got my camera out because she was just being too cute. These are the "poses" that she gave me. fabulous.

Memorial Day Service @ Venedocia

There is a great memorial which remembers those who served in various wars from the Venedocia area. We found John's grandpa, "Charles W. Price", as well as his great Grandpa's name. The grounds of the cemetery are gorgeous. We love to walk around and look at the beautiful landscaping and flowers, as well as visit my grandparents' and John's great-grandparents' graves (they are really close to each other)

I took a few pictures of my Dad & Mommostly because they matched-on purpose: my dad's doings (:

End of the School Year Party

One of Haydn's school friends, Chaz, invited him to a party last night at a park. They had so much fun-fishing (haydn got to try out his rocket-launcher fishing pole-thanks aunt Tiff!), roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, slip n sliding, having water balloon fights and general playing!

What a fun way to start off the summer!

School's Out for Summer!

Haydn finished Kindergarten! Yesterday was his last day. He received his "diploma", although they didn't have a formal ceremony.
And, while I had the boys in the front yard with my camera in hand, I thought I'd take a few pictures of them!

Softball!

John had his first Church Softball game on Monday night. He played short stop, and did a wonderful job! One time, he hit the ball to the infield, and as he was running to first, he sped up SO much that he got ahead of himself. After he stepped on the bag, he started tripping, but still running. What did John do, you ask?! When all else fails, do a somersault! I am not kidding you, he was running full speed (which is pretty fast for him) and sort of jumped in the air and did a roll, landed back on his feet, and ran back to the dugout. All without missing a beat. That is called Ninja skills, people!! I wish you could have seen it-you would have cracked up. I know I did !
Anyway, they won 8-7!

Field Day

Haydn had field day at the park yesterday for school. Gwyneth, Hutch and I met them for lunch, and then hung around while they finished up the festivities.

All of the kids receiving instructions
Dumping water in a bucket relay
There was a relay where they had to get dressed in a tshirt, hat, and ballglove and run around a pylon. What a goofy face!
The Sack Races
Three-Legged Race
(none of them quite got the concept of teamwork!!)

Innertube race

Haydn concentrating for the ball-on-the-spoon race

They cooled off with some popsicles. Haydn and his best friend, Tanner, wanted to pose with their popsicles in their mouths.

A Very Brady Weekend

6 kids. 2 families. 3 girls. 3 boys. We felt like the Brady Bunch this weekend. Miss' kids were here Saturday early through Sunday late afternoon. We had a popcorn party on Friday night!
Hutch couldn't stop shoving it in his mouth long enough to take a picture. Sad, I know!
Hutch passed out about halfway through on the chair's footrest! All of the kids had a great time! I have to say, I don't envy mothers with 6 kids!

Hutch's Last Day of Preschool

Yesterday was Hutch's last day of school for the year. He LOVED preschool, but when I told him it was his last day, he gave me a big hug and said, "Thank you, Mom!" I said, "Aren't you a little sad that it's your last day?" "Nope. I ~love~ our home, and I love to stay here."

Speeding up the progress!

We like to go out almost every night and check out the road progress. My boys have been helping the guys pull the 2nd shift!

Okay. Just kidding. One night, there was a bulldozer RIGHT in front of our house. We couldn't resist getting a few pictures, and having a little fun!
Another night, we went out to watch them work (they worked from 7:45 am-10:00 pm poor guys)
The view from my seat!I snuck this picture of the guy "fixing" our driveway!
